DOUG RITTER HOGUE RSK MK1 G-2

Is the blade shape and size on this the same as the BM Rittergrip?

Just by my eyes and fingers, they are identical in shape and thickness. A few minor differences are: thumbstud (hogue ritter has three grooves), jimpings (slightly larger on hogue ritter), and stonewash (slightly finer on hogue ritter, though this could be my false perception).

I ordered one after I checked out Joe's review. It arrived today. I realize everyone has different preferences, but this one ticks all the right boxes for me. I have always liked this type of lock, the action is smooth, the handle fills my size L hand well, and the handle texturing makes for a nice grip without being too harsh. Very nice job by Doug and Hogue

I really want one, but getting one in Canada is kinda tough.

Not true,Just place an order. The worst that can happen is it gets cancelled.

They are willing to ship knives out via USPS First Class Mail for $15.95 but what I do not like about them is they also charge $5 for the every additional half pound and $2.50 for every $100 in value.

Nobody else does this - if you ask me it's kind of highway robbery

It's the getting seized at the boarder I'm more concerned about.

Did someone say FIXED BLADE RITTER

If I didn t already have a Ritter Griptilian with m390 steel and a back up, I would definitely get the Ritter Hogue. The Ritter Grip is a fine knife for edc and work. It seems to me the Hogue version is at least as good.

Had one earlier, the m390 but sold her off, got this one today. The action was a little stiff, needs to break in a bit, but I polished the washers and also sanded down the radius of the tang so it wasn't washboarding against the lockbar pin, now it's a lot smoother, not that it needed much sanding, it was a very fine grit 9micron paper but that helped the action some, that was just on the end of the tang that rides on that lockbar pin. The washers I polished on a Spyderco double stuff fine side to get a polished surface and now the blade drops closed freely when released and of course, opens quickly as well. Also needed to bend the clip a little as it did not have much strength in retention and now has a little more.

added a bobtail fob with a Viking Rune that is R like.

Solid folder for sure.

This thread pushed me over the edge. Just ordered one. Looking forward to it!

Got mine yesterday. First off, I really like the knife. Materials and ergos are great. The finish meets what I personally expect in a $160 knife. Centering is probably 52/48, so not bad. The action is actually very very good. The knife just seems like it wants to be put to work. My only issue is that the blade grind is probably the worst I’ve received on any knife. Now, at least it’s evenly-uneven on both sides, so they match. And given the price point I’ll give it a pass. But overall, very nice knife. Great scales, perfect gripiness, love the blade shape, it opens nice and smoothly even with the lock bar riding the blade tang, etc. I think we have a winner.
