I am sorry you are upset, but the reason you didn't get a response is that Roger gave his employees the day after Christmas off since they had worked until mid-night Christmas Eve. As such, there was nobody there to respond. As for the M390 vs 20CV, if you want an exchange or credit, that's not a problem. Not sure how that happened, but the change to 20CV was a running change, since they are interchangeable steels from our perspective, and its possible some leftover M390s were left in stock when the change occurred. In any case, they are in the office today, just call toll free 888-225-9775 and ask for Ashley and she will take care of a cost-free exchange or credit.Received mine as a Christmas gift, steel was not the 20cv as advertised, but M390. I know they are chemically the same, but I wanted the 20cv as I've had such outstanding success sharpening it and edge retention, even better than my M390 blades. I'm trying to return it to Knifeworks as their site incorrectly states that 20cv is the steel for the blade.

I don't understand. They're the same steel, almost certainly heat treated the exact same way by the same company. Just because you've enjoyed 20CV over M390 when comparing different knives from different companies with different heat treatment protocols doesn't mean there is a difference between the two.Received mine as a Christmas gift, steel was not the 20cv as advertised, but M390. After owning both sm & lg Ritter Grips, I ordered mine as soon as I could. It came in w/ black hardware. Was it supposed to be black? Nope. Did I mind? Oh hell no. I liked it better. Pleasantly surprised. Arrow clip add'd by me.

Been eyeing this hogue ritter for a while now and heard nothing but good things mostly so far. How does the handle compare to the griptilian? Same thickness?
How are the hogue scales in/out the pocket with all the milling on the G10?
As far as the blade what about BTE thickness, is it similar to the griptilian?
The hogue ritter handle is not thinner than BM griptilian. I actually wish it is a bit thinner. I also wish the sun burst g10 is polished a bit more, and the lanyard hole is positioned the same as gen 1. But these are just nitpicking. My major pet peeve however is the pocket clip. It creates a hot spot on my palm. A BM clip would take are of the business though. I am sure a mxggear clip will work better too.
