Its the same black "epoxy" powder coat that all the Beckers get.

Hi Doug!

Thanks for the pics and info. I have two questions though:

1) what kind of sheath will the fixed blade have?
2) why have you decided to coat the RSK Mk1's s30v blade?

Thanks for everything!

excelent stuff. I really like your design philosophy and look forward to buying a ritter grip in the future (its somewhere on that want list).

Are you going to stop making the Ritter Griptilian in satin finish?

I hope not. The stonewashed finiish is my favorite.

A S30V Becker sounds awesome. Another must have.

Doug

Very nice knives!

As a faithfull reader of the equipped to survive website and an owner of the Ritter Grip and survival kit I am however puzzled about your decision to promote a partially serated version of the griptillion.

Has there been a change of philiosophy about serated edges for survival purposes?

Best wishes and continued success.

There is no "satin" finish. I'm guessing you mean the original stonewashed finish and that will continue. These are in addtion to, not replacments,

The plan is that it will come with a sheath essentially similar to the existing Becker balistic nylon sheaths, but with an ambidexterous strap.

A black and partially serrated blade have been the number one and two requests. This especially from the law enforcement and military community.

Thanks and not at all. You'll not likely to see me EDCing the ComboEdge versions. However, when hit between the eyes with a two by four, I do take notice. :D There has been a lot of interest in the RSK Mk1 from the military and law enforcment communities, but they insist on the partly serrated edge and we've had a lot of requests. While I am still not convinced it's necessary from a practical standpoint, it would be foolish to ignore a potentially large market, as has been pointed out by a number of people quite close to me.

Ohhhhh, YEAH!!!! Been fighting with myself over which one to get between the BK2 and the BK10....Now I know.... The BK12!!!!

BK12 - nice! I was tossing up about getting the BK10 Crewman but the BK12 shape is much more useful and a slightly longer blade but not as long as the 7" on the BK7.

Great mods to an already proven series!

RSK MkI = Benchmade Griptilian
RSK MkII = Camillus/Becker BK&T2 + BK&T10
RSK MkIII (?) = Benchmade ?

So, which popular fixed blade from Benchmade will receive the Ritter treatment?

My guess = Nimravus. What do you guys think?

yep. that's the one which has the most potential and which would most benefit from a "Rittering"

Thanks and good luck Doug - you are doing a fantastic job!

He's been working on a fixed blade for Benchmade. He said it isn't based on the Nim though.
