Doug Ritter RSK MKII - SHIPPED !! - was:Don't Spend All Your Holiday Cash Just Yet...

I just received my MK2 this morning, #34. I was pleased that the scales are different from the grivory on my BK2 - slightly more textured/less smooth. I was also pleased that the grind is almost full flat - just a slight/subtle ridge about 3/8" down from the spine. Only one concern - one of the nuts on the handle is slightly mis-threaded and crooked – I’m hoping its a quick fix when I get home in a few hours and break out my allan key, so maybe I’m too picky.

That sounds really weird. Please send us a photo if you can, but in any case we'll take care of it, not to worry.

I got mine - 63 and i requested 67........kinda sucks......if anyone has 67 let me know I'll be happy to trade!

Here's a pic (I think I linked it right). It just looks like the nut didnt fully settle into the scale, but managed to get tightened anyways - I'll tweak it tonight (would like to experiment with the plugs anyways) and let you know if there's any issues - Thanks for your quick reply!

Got mine as well today, I'm poor and don't have one of those new fangled digital cameras. Knife looks just like the pics on the Ritter website. The knife is beautiful, though my wife says its ugly:( I'm very satisfied with this blade, Thanks Doug!

Those pics are way too small. Make bigger ones.

says the guy who's combined signature with photo is larger than the original quoted content and comments :> snerk.

#60 here. Grease does smell funny. Like smoked sausages. Sweet blade though. Might have to see who has #83.

if all y'all are terribly excited and stuff to do so, someone start a appropriately title thread for "RSK MKII trade" to get the number you want. perhaps. certainly you all can post your number. perhaps a mod will be so kind as to edit the first post to contain the list of names matched to numbers. maybe.

here are some pics, the handles are very grippy almost like rubber. coating on blade looks and feels like an izula coating. I got #74

The knife handles are very similar to the Camillus Becker BK10s. Not as smooth as the grivory and a bit more grippy. Might have to get another one. :)

Actually, they are Grivory and rather more than just "similar." ;)

Doug, thank you for sticking with this project so long.
IMO, the results are worth it, but then I didn't have all your headaches along the way.
The knife is fantastic, and I'll use it proudly.
When the weather and my schedule clear, I'll get out and do a sound review of the knife.
