I just recently got my first two Douk's, a standard and a squirrel. Wasn't sure about them at first, but in no time they have become some of my favorites. Great slicers in the kitchen. The thin handle is great for pocket carry, they pretty much disappear. That thinness is a liability though in heavy push cuts, it can be hard to get a tight enough grip.
One thing to watch for is the bail. I screwed up my squirrel on day one after I unknowingly allowed the bail to move in front of the blade before closing it. The strong spring snapped the blade down hard on the bail and put a nice chip in the blade.
I'd like to just remove the bail one of these days.
What I really want is some of the small squirrels, but can't find a source...
