Downfall of the 101?

I picked up a demo model for $20.00, came with ebony scales. I'll take pick with a 110 in a bit and post it. Right now I'm with child. For reference. Here he is normally.

I sure would have liked to see one with Nickle/Silver bolsters and G10 scales.

i cant see your pics. not hosted where they will show up. I tried to get to the site where they are hosted but wouldnt show them.
 
I did buy the 5160 version. Not sure of the wood species.

Looks good, 5160 is fun :thumbsup: I love sharpening 5160 because it's so easy to get a nice edge. That one looks like oak to me, but it might be oak Dymondwood which is more durable.

Does anyone recall seeing a 101 Drop Point? I could have sworn I saw one, but I may have been imagining it...

There was a Rosewood handled Drop point version. I also think there was no date code on the blade. This information is from notes I have when I was thinking about buying a 101.
