") slightly gimmicky bottle opener to see the hardcore, dead serious, last ditch survival tool."

you don't think that after a run down RPG alley, surviving a bloodsoaked bomb attack by islamic terrorists in Uganda, landing a smoking Russian gunship, bluffing an Afghan checkpoint or even after running up a mountain to see the sunset, you wouldn't crack an ice cold one with your HEST??

Pshaw

I suppose I would...

Id lever the cap off with the butt of the handle though, just because I can. :D

You designed a bad ass knife to your exact specifications. Cant argue with that. Mine would be slightly different. No harm, no foul.

Bring on the pics!!

I'm already bustin at the seams awaiting the Izula folder and now there is going to be a HEST folder!!!!

Is it wrong to EDC 7 knives...:D

Yes, but only because I haven't done that yet lol. Had three on me today if you count multiple blades on a multitool separately. Through in a couple of knives that were in my backpack and you're all set.

And you get to say the coolest line ever, while cracking you beer open...."Danger makes me thirsty"

this is awesome. Not really a fan of beefy "thick" folders, but it still sounds appealing. I'll keep my heart set on the Izula folder for now, though.

Any reason this one seems to be progressing faster than the Izula folder?

Really exited about this . If its as good as the fixed blade version it will be outstanding ! Ive emailed the uk dealer and have been told i am number two on the order list ( he didnt have a list until i mailed him , so in guessing he is number one )

I am not actually! Now that you said that ... lol

Nah, I leave my number to you guys and will try my luck with a serialised one from ESEE/DPx or even try to put my hands on a pre-run prototype :D

Hey Gunner

Did he quote a circa price?

Nah no price just yet mate. I'll have to wait for Jeff, he will soon let us know. But the pre-order list is starting to feel up though. Eventhough the knife will only be here end of 2010!

Its conspiracy, its what it is.

And i would like to say that, even with all the mental abuse from RYP and Jeff, name calling and making fun of my private parts, and just being pure evil, it was real fun and honor to be small part of HEST/F project

You're just a victim of your own talent mate, that's all it is :D

Looking forward to soon discover the renders for the HEST F

Yep, waiting on that lazy-ass RYP to get up out of the bed and check his email :D

Soon as he gives his approval on Tom's renders then we cna start a new thread with the photos of the HEST folder.

I have to say Tom, the Titanium, D2 and G10 really merged together for a nice looking package on this folder. Heavy duty and tough.

This is a heavy duty folder to have when it comes out.

Just for those that dont know, Gianni's (lion steel) Rotoblock basically makes it fixed blade with just a twist of that screw...very nice feature. HEST folder will rock!

Ah well, I've stayed up way past my bedtime. I'll hope they're up by this afternoon when I get up. Don't use up all the bandwidth ogling the pictures, you maniacs. :p

I have skipped over this thread for the last 3 days because I thought it was that thread from a few weeks ago discussing what people would like to see in the DPX/HEST lineup. Reading is fundamental. Looking forward to the design/pics of this blade. Congrats to RYP and ESEE on what I’m sure will be a winner.

Enough with the tease, pics or GTFO! :D
