DPx H•E•S•T/F ORDER THREAD

Don't forget everyone. If you didn't get on the list for a numbered version, there are production copies available from multiple vendors. There is a vendor list at www.dpxgear.com that lists all of the vendors that will be carrying the Hest/F. The production copies even include a Multi Tool that is pretty darn cool.
 
I believe I may have 2 knives reserved; #12 and # 96 for Greg Fields. Hopefully there isnt more that I may have reserved in my haste to secure a number. I only want one knife (#12 if I do indeed have that one), so please release others in my name if I screwed up. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
 
Just in case, I started by reserving #47, but my confirmation e-mail was very long in arriving. By the time I answered it, it said the number was taken. Then I went back to the site and reserved #232, that e-mail was immediate and I confirmed it. I am happy with #232, but if #47 is also in my name I'd rather have that (w/graphics) and you can release #232. Sorry if this was confusing.

RYP, I believe that I am down for two: numbers 24 and 126. I would like to keep number 24 and release number 126. Thank you, and sorry for the mix up.

Upon recent reflection, I would like to keep both numbers that I have reserved. If it is at all possible, I would like to keep number 24 as a RH Mr. DP, and change number 126 to a RH sterile version. If not, I am very well off with them both being the same RH Mr. DP version. Again, sorry for the confusion and change of heart.

I'm still good to go on #46 (RH, Mr. DP) and #192 (RH, sterile).

I have the feeling that without our real names RYP won't be able to do much when we say "release no. X".

I don't remember putting in my BF screen name on the pre-order so RYP will not know if the poster confirming or releasing a number is the one who actually got that number.

PS, as has been mentioned before, I'm not the only one who lost his first choice number because the email confirmation was not clicked and followed quickly. My humbleadvice would be to word future notices alomg the lines of:

"Your knife is NOT reserved yet. Your selected number will be held for only X minutes. Please open your confirmation email and follow the enclosed link within that timeframe to confirm your reservation."

I ordered the sterile version and received a confirmation. After reflection, I would like to change my order to the version with Logos. Will I have an opportunity to request the change during the process?

The web folks are sorting through all the requests and we will be putting any DPx HEST/F folders back on sale as of noon Eastern Time today.

We are just removing multiple orders so that other folks have a chance to own the Limited Edition numbered run of this knife.

Could you please clarify something for me? I know that the current pre-order is for the serialized versions. I'm just interested in a plain one. Will I be able to purchase one when it comes out around December, or will I have to pre-order a non-serialized version? In other words, are these going to be regularly produced starting in December or is this only a one time thing? Thanks.
 
the limited edition/first run knife comes in two unique finishes and short run accessories like the tool, holder and metal storage case.

The two versions in the LE/FR are "Mr DP pattern" and "Sterile". They will not be repeated or sold again.

The regular run has the same basic build but a different G10 color, different blade finish and different accessories.

I would like to confirm that I am on the pre order list for the limited edition folder and that I reserved number 17, right hand, with the Mr. dp graphic. My email is rogerschrisj1@yahoo.com. The number doesn't really matter. I just want to made sure I get one. I think I finished the order process correctly. I just wanted to confirm. If not can I please be put on the back up list for any available number.

I expect the original stipulation of two reservations per customer will be upheld at this time, so that more of those people who missed out will have a chance again? I see several people have reserved more than two - not very sporting, as they say.

I've been waiting to see how this thread develops before asking any questions, but now seems like a good time. I have two HEST/F reserved, #60 right hand DP and a sterile version #164. If I should choose to release one, how should I do it? Who should I email and when? My transactions went very well. No hiccups at all. I have no idea how people were reserving more than two knives:confused:
