Dry Or Oiled?

I am actually quite fond of using grease for firearms use to lubricate my knives when possible.

I disassemble the knife and bake parts in an oven till they get hot. Remove and brush down with frog lube. Let dry for an hour. Wipe down and reassemble.

If the blade action feels slow or tight, I add a drop of mineral oil on each side of the pivot and work it in. Otherwise, no scheduled lubing.

I always lube up the spring area on my benchmades now, I've had 3 springs break on 746 in the last two years. 1 from just being used w/ the other being broken, and 2 from who knows what. Don't know if it was just dusty conditions in afghanistan or bad springs, but I really don't like it when the springs rub too much anymore.
