E-bay scam du jour

I bid (unsuccesfully) on a Rick Eaton folder and promptly got an offer to sell another very similar one from an ebayer who had bought stamps to get his rating.... usually less than a dollar a piece auctions. But this guy didn't have a price in mind, he wanted me to let him know what a fair value was.... Sent me a pic (of a Rick Eaton knife to be sure).... But then I asked him where he got it, how long he had it, what he had paid for it, etc... no responses. I hope some other ebayer didn't get creamed on it...

and bad English to boot.

tread carefully and DO check out the prior auctions. We found from viba_1 that even a rating of 1000 doesn't mean the guy isn't going to rob you.
