E-bay troubles

I just did it yesterday Bill, thanks. Hopefully that will go somewhere. He emailed me saying "Haven't recieved payment, please advice!". :barf:

Feel your pain Needle. I won an E-Bay auction several weeks ago and the seller requested payment via a USPS money order, which was in the mail the next day. He told me that he'd let me know when the moolah arrived and package shipped. Cool deal. . .hell, I want the transaction to go smoothly and I didn’t want the seller feeling that I was stiffing him. A week or so later, after no e-mail from the seller, I sent an e-mail inquiring about the arrival of the money order and status of the shipment. Two days later, still no word. Fired off another e-mail. I gave him two more days and fired off another e-mail, asking about the arrival of the money order and shipping status. Again, no response. Two days later, I sent an e-mail telling him that I was going to the Post Office to begin a trace on the money order. . .I think that I also mentioned something about mail fraud in the e-mail. :D I knew that he had received the money order. . .boy, delivery confirmation is such a cool thing. . .and evidently overlooked on the envelop, by the seller. Guess it struck a nerve and received an e-mail from the seller stating that he had received the money order four days after I had sent it  , that he had gotten busy and dropped the ball  . I wanted to send a reply along the lines of "Cry Me A River" - - don't make your problems my problem ! His response also stated that the package was going out “today, using UPS 3-day.” Easy to respond to. . ."cool, send me the tracking #." :D

There are some good eggs (sellers) on E-Bay. . .and there are some bad ones, for sure! Unfortunately. . .the E-Bay feedback system can be slightly misleading. Simply, some buyers fear “negative” retaliation from sellers and refuse to report the "negative" aspects of their experience with a seller. :(

Hope that all works out for you and your Mom, Needle !

Hope this works out for you NR.

In the past when PayPal and ebay were not together I had a seller rip me off for 260. (back when gold was around that price per OZ)

It was impossible to get any help from either back then.

A couple of years later the guy was stung by the FBI. They contacted me (obviously from some info he had on his computer) about providing evidence for the fraud case they were building against him, but I never got information on what happened to him.

Due to the fact that they refused to provide any information at all, I seldom use Paypal especially if I have no way of contacting the person.

I notice you said Paypal taps into her bank card - I believe you have 30 days from the time you get your bank statement to dispute the charges...so...I'd handle this thru my bank...forcing Paypal to get the bucks from (or Prosecute) this ASSH*LE! Best of luck...both Ebay and Paypal are onlookers to the crime so they claim no responsbility for policing these type of choads.
