Eagle Scout!

Congrats 3M. One of my best friends from "the teen years" went into Architorture, so I know second hand how having predeveloped goal setting that you learned in the Scouts will aid you in getting your degree and sticking it out as a career to become successful.

Even if it turns out you find another vocation, the Scouting will aid you always.

Very hearty congratulations. You probably won't realize the real value of what you have accomplished for a few years.

Class of 1985 here. As much as I enjoyed scouting back then, I am looking forward to watching my own son enjoy it now. He started Tiger cubs this fall.

Contratulations.

Congratulations!

I'm hoping to keep my son motivated long enough to get there.

thx - cpr

I seriously don't even remember what year I got my Eagle, but it was more than 15 years ago at least. Now I am a leader of the 11 year old scouts in my church (well, only one right now).

On top of this great news, earlier in the week I got accepted to my 1st choice for college. It has been a crazy week!:D

And you're not going to reveal what that number one choice is? To us--souls of discretion?

:D

Philadelphia University. In Philli! :D Architecture will be quite the workload but I fell up to it. I've known that I wanted to be an Architect longer than I have been a Boyscout so I rwally have to follow through with my continuing hope to eventually be a registered architect.

I sincerely hope that all the fathers out there continue to encourage their sons as much as mine did to me. It means so much and I am so grateful for the help in hard times.

Congratulations! Becoming an Eagle Scout is a major accomplishment. You, and your family, should be very proud. I became an Eagle Scout in 1974 (was one of the last scouts whose Eagle card was signed by Richard Nixon) and three of my younger brothers also achieved the rank of Eagle. Welcome to the fraternity! :D

I think that you will enjoy several years at a good school, in a fun town.

Of course, if you are studying architecture, part of that enjoyment will be crackling the books while your friends go clubbing, but such is college life.:D

Seriously, I think that you can look forward to a great education and a great time.

Congratulations! I know it has been a long hard road but you made it. It will be something that will stick with you the rest of your life.

I earned my Eagle (like Uncle Tom above) in 1975. I didn't think I'd ever get there as I must have been the oldest living Tenderfoot!

Did I mention the 30-70 guy girl ratio? :D

I will have my fun...... :D.:D.

Nice job! I got my Eagle Scout about 2 hours ago. :D

Congrats to you both!

I remember going to my younger brother's Court of Honor, and it was one of the proudest moments of my life, up to that point. He struggled so much throughout his entire school career, with several issues and Scouts was the only thing that kept him motivated to get through. I seriously believe that he would have ended up in jail, if not for the haven of responsibility, respect and motivation provided by troup 187. He outlasted 5 scout-masters, and helped ensure the survival of an under-sponsored, under-appriciated troup in a small town.

You all are an inspiration. Eagle Scouts have my deepest respect.

You all need to check out the knife that Buck makes available to Eagle Scouts. Search in the Buck forum, or just post a question. You all deserve the deal that they give you. Definitely check it out.

I am in the process of moving right now, and I came across an old binder containing my write-up for my Eagle Project. That certainly brought up a lot of great memories! I had enough merit badges to get it at age 15, but put off my Eagle Project until literally just before my 18th birthday. Better late than never! :D

Congratulations!

For my Eagle Scout knife Eddie White is building me his rendition of a Blackjack Trailguide. 3/16th O-1 with Maroon Micarta handles and blue/white spacers. The rest is a surprise and I will be so happy to receive it!

Congrats!!!My son is now 11 and just started Boy Scouts. He has been in Cub Scouts since Tigers and is already determined to be an Eagle Scout.I was never in scouts as a kid but I'm an assistant leader and I'm learning as we go.Congrats again, you and your parents should be proud.P.S. I'd love to see some pics of the knife you get.

Congratulations! I knew you'd get it done. I was a scout too, but never made Eagle. I know the work that goes with that. Relax a little during the holidays (between shoveling the driveway) and enjoy yourself. I'll talk to you soon.

Congrats!!!!!
