Eagle Scout!

Congrats!!!

Finished mine in '85 and have one son in Bubs (Bear this year), and one more than ready to start next year (Tiger).

Ya know, every now and then someone will ask "What are you, an Eagle Scout?" Generally in a sarcastic manner.

I just keep on doing what ever it is and say ..."Yup" :D

The last guy I did that to went into vapor lock!

Thank you all for the comments. :)

To all the dads out there: never stop encouraging your boys to do their best. Without my dads (and moms) constant help and moral support I could have easily found myself overwhelmed with the amount of work on my plate.

Eddie, I think I will take your advise. Enjoy your "warmth" down south! :D

Congratulations! I was in the Scouts when I was young and I helped several friends in high school with their Eagle project. I know what kind of work and dedication it takes to get there. Great job!

That is great. Both of my Sons made it to Eagle Scout. My younger Son got his this past summer and my older Son got his about four years ago. They were both nail biters though just getting all their paperwork in days before their 18th Birthday.

It is a great achievement and you should be proud of it. Don't forget to put it on your resume.

Congratulations.

Eagle Scout since 1974. My brother made Eagle in 1970.

His oldest son made Eagle two months ago.

I gave one of Eddie's knives as my gift for the ceremony.

Best Wishes,

M.

Congrats to you gentlemen that have recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. It is a tremendous achievement that makes you part of an special group of men.

My son managed to obtain the final approvals on his Eagle service project just prior to his 18th birthday this year (his mom and I were sweating bullets on that one .. :) ). His Court of Honor was conducted last Monday night. Certainly a long road, but well worth it.

I just found this since I rarely venture in this area of BF, so Congradulations all over again! :D

Eagle Scout of July 7, 2004, a few days before my 18th birthday and a month or so after senior graduation :o

Glad you didn't wait 'til the last minute like I did, man it was hectic. It wasn't my fault either. My project was done in march and all that I was waiting for were the right leaders to do the board of review. They made me sweat it out :p

Just got word from Eddie. My knife is pretty much done. Pics will come only once I receive the knife. Patience is a virtue! :D

Congrats on a great achievement! This will follow you for life, in a good way!

Does the BSA still have the Order of the Arrow?

Nice job! That's really going to help you if you choose to go into the armed forces at any time. May I suggest a SERE Instructor for the USAF?

They do indeed, I'm a Brotherhood member.

Thanks guys, Eddie has done something real awesome, I am sure!:cool:

From another fellow Eagle, Congrats. My Eagle court of honor was easily the best day of my life, made H.S. graduation seem like just another day. Successfully made it through my Eagle board in april 2002.

Congratulations, man! I quit Scouting after I completed Cub Scouts, and it's something that I regret. It's too late for me to get into Scouting, but I'm happy for you.:)

I quit scouting around the 6th grade, due to some medical issues, and regret not going further. It's never to late to get into scouting, I was an assistant scout leader in my step-son's troop until he quit after earning his Webelos badge and arrow of light.

Well guys, the knife arrived today. I am pretty much at a loss for words so I think this sums my thoughts well: This is the only knife in my collection that I could never part with. It is the symbol that will end up representing all that I wholeheartedly enjoyed in scouting.

And who knows, Eddie might be along with some pics shortly! ;) :D

Congrats man, I got my Eagle in 1997. The rule in my house was no eagle, no driver's license, so I had mine knocked out before my 16th birthday!

Every job I have ever interviewed for, the interviewer has been impressed that I made it to Eagle. Shoot, even my father-in-law was impressed when the wife and I were dating. I was the first (and only!) guy she ever brought home that he approved of.

I hadn't seen that Buck Eagle knife before. May have to look into adding that to the list of things I 'need' :D

BTW, congrats on college too!

Well, now that I know you have it in hand (he wanted it to be a surprise to him and wouldn't let me send him a pic), here's a pic or two:

Steel 3/16" 01 Tool
Blade length 4 1/2"
Overall 9 5/8"

It was just a pleasure to do this for you. God bless.
