Early Busse Blades From The 1980s. . . . . .

Jerry these knives are awesome! I remember the original Jimmy Lile knife made for First Blood, awesome design, dunno how practical, but very cool looking anyway :) I saw one at Blade this year, wish I had a spare bazillion bucks for one

Which reminds me. A few years ago when I first discovered Busse, I played around with a few designs in a similar style just for the fun of it. I had no idea you had already made some!

The hollow handle blade is definately "the 80's" ... it looks really well executed ... I had at one point "all of them" ... started with a Lile I from the first Rambo pic and then had his "Rambo" bowie ( that was the best one I ever had and the price today is eye watering ) ... then I had the Parrish knife and then the Buck Master and then the one piece knives by Chris Reeves when he was still in South Africa. I never had a Randall though but did have the chance at one. Strangely the smooth grip with no checkering put me off. The best of the bunch for handling and weight was by far the Lile "Rambo" ... no suprise they went through the roof on the second hand market ... in fact at the time the "Rambo" cost nearly £1000 in sterling ... I sold it because I could'nt afford to use it ... LOL ... but I did at least get my money back ...

Rob, I'm loving that recurve with the fusion handle! Those are some very cool designs

Imagine 50 kegs of beer that have been concentrated to fit into the hollow handle. Suddenly, without warning, you find yourself lost in the wilderness. You empty the contents into a nearby mountain stream. You dive in with your mouth open. Life is good. You are still lost, but who cares? You're hammered and all is well!!!!

Beer is important!!!!

Jerry :D

Hey Boss! I'll take three of the top one. One for Rob since it's his design, one for me & one for the Bully 'cuz he loves dem fighters.

Wish I had been around back in those days. Would have had to spring for a few of those myself.

I was waiting for Jerry to show us some of these-I think he mentioned he was going to post them a month or so ago. Thanks for sharing some history with us Bossman--I dig em all.

Jerry, like every knife you make. they are a country mile above the rest.

I'm still looking forward to the day you release a Busse modeled on the pro skinner.

Ian. :D

Apparently, the Force was always strong with this one.

[No, am not a Star Wars geek. Though I do room with one.]
