Owen, you are exactly right. My bigger pack is the Terraplane overkill. I think they only made it for a year on some special anniversary of Dana Designs. I think a grenade could go off inside with little damage. (BTW with the Astralplane, isn't it big enough to use as a bivy sack? ) I just like all the attachment options of MOLLE gear. I know Kifaru isn't cheap, but if you're thinking about an XRay you should look into the G1 packs before they are all gone. It was $100 cheaper than the new version.
