Early Ranger blade length

David,I am comparing a Cat 1 V1 from May '72 to a 3 dot Cat4 V1 from '80 /'81 and the 3 dot is deffinetly wider at that point.Still due to there age I cannot say for sure that they have not been modified in some way by a previous owner,or a spa treatment but I will say that these 2 examples don't appear to have seen much use

Oh looked at the 112 data info and guess i have a CatII/3 1972-73 and a Cat III/3 78-79.
I know what black micarta is and what mascarta is but what’s Segua? ( CatII/2)
Is it easy to tell the difference between that and the newer mascarta( may be butchering that spelling)

And i scutinized the data sheet again and my Cat III is a vrsion 4 basec on the 3x3/8 brass rivets. I learn so much on here despite myself

David,in post #5 Segua wood is the knife in the middle the lighter colored wood with the straight grain.

I have been looking for a 4 pin 110 or 112.
I have bid on a few only to lose them in the last 10 seconds. Ebay should use the gunbrooker style bidding.
Let the bidding end when the highest bidder is alone not the quickest in the last seconds.
Like when all other bidders fold.

The picture with the 3 vertical 112’s is my 73 on the left i got with the 5 i purcahsed from Alaska. Middle one is the pre 80’s before i sent it to Buck for Spa treatment, and one on the right is just a few years old for comparison.
Single pics are middle one after Spa. Turned out great
