Early Ranger blade length

2nd from bottom 110FG after i polished and sharpened it. Yes i did have to polish all the scratches i put in the blade lol
That purchase was amazing. Basicly paid $30 per knife ($150 for all 5 and i think it was free shipping)

Hi girly knife collectors.. opps i mean 112 guys...
I " assume" things that happened with 110s also happen with 112s...
There was and (still is) a lot of hand work involved with the blades but back in the day ( before a lot of youse youngens came about) there was more variance due because of more hand work then now.
There was a +- range the blades had to be in and some were closer to one or other.
I passed over quite a number of 110s because i thought the blade was Short bef3i knew this. Best is to look at bucks stated measurement and allow 1/8" below that... as mentioned spa retipping is done from edge and the choil is ground to fit it in the frame
Takes longer but if you would regrind yourself from the top and maintain clip shape it makes a much better looking job.
Same thing on the bolaters... was a "sure thing" that if ya seen a sanding line on the inlay wood that it had been rebladed but again due to the hand sanding and polishing that is NOT true. And a careful rebladeing wont show sand line on the wood any way..
Most times rebladeing does leave evdance but many times depending on the craftsman it may not.
EVERYTHING done at buck today is so much more tightly controlled that there is not much vareance as there used to be.. dayum did not mean to say this much ... gotta go out back to shed for a break ...
