Easy Open Fridays

Great thread idea! Really some nice examples there guys. I have a few, but nothing very old I'm afraid. I like the stainless blades better myself. I noticed a pic of one awhile back, newer knife, with an acorn shield, but now I can't track it down. Northwoods I believe. Seen pics of the Northwoods Indian River in ATS-34, not EZ Open, but looked "pinchable". Non of those around any longer either. Starting to carry the Schatt & Morgan on the left there more. Great knife.

Not the prettiest, but perhaps the oldest, a pair of EO jacks from circa 1910-1914. Stamped steel painted covers, boys knives. The one one the left is tanged A.W. Wadsworth & Son - Germany, a Kastor/Camillus import branding. The one on the right is tanged Swan Works - Ohligs - Germany, a mark of maker Altenbach, also the maker of the Kastor marked knife.

Joe, your Schatt and Morgans are tops. I especially like that teardrop, I have a single blade and really wish it had the easy open cut out. Great knives everyone!

Some real beauties being shown!! Keep them coming:D

Jon, I agree with Michael, that A.W. is super fine! It's in such perfect condition. I have seen a lot of them but not is such fine condition.

Pre-1938 most likely, and not a low pricepoint knife like so many with that import branding. Note that the blade legend is stamped, not etched.
