Easy Open Fridays

Super knives, Charles! Thank you very much for sharing them. Always nice to see an old Robeson.

Rinos, really enjoyed your pictures of that rare old beauty!!

Yahoo!...I like Lazy Boy Fridays! Really enjoy seeing all you guys' pics of gorgeous stuff. A fellow forum member is hunting for a #25 and I'm still looking for him, so if someone has a spare, could you let me know? Thanks guys!

On that Pal, the small blade is a tough one to open. Broke a nail, then had to use a pick. Tough springs on the older knives I observed as opposed to newer made models. I wonder why they made them so hard pull back in the day.

As an aside and off topic, I tossed in that old fixed blade I'm hoping you smart fellers could tell me the maker. It's very worn right on the tang, but I can read something something Imp. Co., then on the next line Soligen, and then Made In Germany. Stag handle. But don't worry too much about it since it's OT and I don't wish to detract from the cool easy openers.

Beautiful set Joe!!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

Post office was nice to me today, leaving this little fellow at the box. Sure looks like a #25. Did they make them for Parker Bros.? Has the year 2000 on the tang but it's still NIB. Came in a flat box with a Parker sticker on it.

Are you sure it doesn't say 2006?
If I remember correctly, those are indeed GEC 25's. They were a short run.

Ah, if I had bothered to look into the box a little closer, I'd of found this. Guess that answers the question. Thanks!! Joe

We made it to another Friday. Just thought I'd share a pic of another recent addition to my EZ Openers. It's an old AG Wadsworth. Handles appear to be brown painted aluminum maybe. I'm not well versed enough yet to determine age and what not, but I can tell it's pretty old. Wonder where the boy who first owned this was from. Bet he liked it. :)

Here are my latest custom easy open GEC boy's knives:

Nice looking Scout Doc - they do a great job with their jigged bone I think. Looks really good!
