Easy Openers

Thanks for that information, Harvey. Any chance of seeing that beauty with the blade open?
And great pictures of your other two examples, your photography is always incredible!!!

Harry, two fine folders, and I'm a sucker for those small two-blade military models. You don't see many of the "Pal" marked models like yours.

Jack, what a wonderful assortment of unique easy openers!!! Neat to see so many different variations side by side.

Travman, that's just about a perfect modern rendition of a classic old teardrop pattern, just beautiful.

Barrett, fantastic selection of GEC models. Hard to find a more useful knife than their cap lifter variations. :)

Glenn, very cool examples but I don't recognize the fourth model down? I love that long pointy teardrop end.

Texoma, very nice addition to the thread.

Here is an old metal-handled model with the words "Easy Opener" stamped into the handle. Inexpensive knives like these were popular for boys around the late 1800s to early 1900s.
This one is marked "A. W. Wadsworth & Son" and was made in Germany.

I only ever cared for a shallow EO notch to reach a nearly buried nail nick. Deep notches at the butt of a knife destroy the flow and ergonomics for me.

Great pic of the 85, Jack! That is exactly what I think of when EO is mentioned. Spearpoint, bone, and that propeller is a perfect match for the teardrop fuselodge. The 85s never really caught my eye, but that one is lovely!
Thank you Adam, it was my first GEC, a very kind gift from my friend Duncan Campbellclanman Campbellclanman :)

That's a smasher Charlie
