Actually no, humans are pretty damn good stuff relative to wildlife. Parasites? Can't comment on the land down under, but in North America parasites are very rare. People are fantastically afraid of them simply because they are rare and exotic diseases. Now, try and find a Deer without a few hundred hook worms and nematodes in its intestines.
 
was just looking around my neighbourhood

too much fat on most , lotta lung problems , and caner is hi enough rate that the surgeon I taking my mum to for hers suggested that all the outpatients chip in and buy a bus to get them to the city to see him , there is that many in this little town alone

besides mining , sex and drugs are the big industries , hep a b and c are virtually the norm for near everyone I deal with , chlamydia is rampant ... so is a list of other social infections ( no longer venereal diseases , sounds bad ya know )

the feral animals here are pest free enough they are harvested for meat export :)

just lookin at the local folk tho .... if they were animals , they wouldnt be fit for consumption
 
Made my peace decades ago, would do it if that's what it came down to.

Gotta be careful with what you eat and who you eat though. It's not just parasites, but all the diseases carried within humans are easily transmitted to the diner through blood, organs, flesh and bones. I would stay away from all organs except the heart (a prized item) as the other organs would carry nasties you don't want. Even thorough cooking of human meat may not be enough to stay safe though, for example, the prions that carry Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (Mad Cow) cannot be destroyed by heating...

Would be difficult to survive since you don't want to eat the weak and sick as that would just heighten your own chance of catching their illnesses.

You'd only want to eat the strongest humans as they would be the fittest, cleanest and least diseased "food". Problem is that they're probably hunting you as well.

LOL, some parasites aid in digestion and are necessary for survival... humans are very fatty and greasy, and I hear stink extremely bad.

Well, you probably should make sure the meat thoroughly cooked . . . especially if it is the typical street person or homeless . . . after all, if this is an urban environment the druggies, bums, and gangbangers are going to be the first wave of hunters / home invaders. And they will be seeking you out, which makes less work for you. So I would recommend a big pot of chili.
 
Different nationalities taste different,

people from Brazil taste nutty,
Turkey-like chicken,
Hungary-not very filling,
Greece-greasy,
Chile-rather spicy and best eaten cold,

it's all true I tell you!

Dunno about an extreme survival situation, but when walking with a friend through the park and the cafe is closed, they do tend to get a bit jittery if I mention cannibalism......

There is nothing wrong with a little cannibalism. If you know where they came from and you know they are clean deep fry the brain when its almost done add some onion and garlic.. Cook the bones till the meat falls off and get to the marrow. If you are not sure where they come from. Just eat the meat no brain or bone marrow.Do not eat the liver lungs or kidneys. Heart is good to eat. Oh and stay away from the eyes as well. Humans are no more or less sick then the animals in the area. Dont forget when you read about tribe men that get sick from eating human flesh is that they did eat someone that was sick in the first place. Mad Cow caused by a protein that why cooking wont kill it. The protein is staying where the nerves are. Most of the tribes prized the brains the most. Thats why they got sick.
Bushman5 i think we need to set up a gathring for the folks on here. Invite them all for dinner. One of the requriment would be that they could hike at list 10 mile in a very steep terain.(make sure we only get the inshape guys to show up) Got to watch what we eat. I offer to do the cooking. If you got a place big enough we can lock them up for a few days to make sure they clean them selves from the waste, if you know what i mean. Feed them only citruse fruits to give better flavor....
Dont worry guys its just a thought we would never do anything like that.... Trust us.

Cannibalism was not unheard of during the Russian Civil War/Revolution. I seem to remember that they used to pickle kids.
