Ah yes, the good old VeRO routine used by eBay, i.e, shoot first and then warn later and never mind about asking questions anywhere in that process. I've been selling automotive products on eBay for 15+ years and eBay Motors is probably still one of eBay's biggest cash cows because to the best of my knowledge to this date, no other 800 pound online marketplace type gorilla, not Amazon, not Ali-Baba or whatever has been able to replicate eBay Motors. That said, eBay has somehow managed to even mess that one up which would've required one of the great feats of stupidity but you've gotta hand it to eBay for accomplishing that mission
I'd feel much trepidation and angst if I had to sell knives or any other merchandise of want instead of need on eBay. IMO, eBay is a waning business model which is just keeping afloat by putting the screws even tighter to their hapless sellers. In a year or two when their exclusivity with PayPal comes to an end and when they go down that intermediation payment implementation (with some Dutch Co), you may very well kiss any semblance of seller's dignity left bye-bye. Only Lord knows as to how many more new ways will become available to scam well intended sellers / buyers!
