There's a lot to like about the D'allara---but it takes up a LOT of pocket space.
 
I love my D'Allara. It would get more pocket time if it wasn't so wide.
Great score Jill, and an excellent price too.
 
Dangit, you getting a dallara first of all was like a punch to the gut, then only paying $66 for it was a kick a little lower! Great find!
 
Nobody seams even slightly impressed that it's a numbered knife. That is the BIG catch for me :thumbup:
 
Figured I would post this here. I had posted it on another board a couple of days ago.

Okay so I had to take an unexpected trip to the E. R. last night after a very stupid move with one of my favorite Spyderco users.

I was outside walking around as it was getting close to dark and remembered some briars I had run into while riding the lawnmower earlier. I pull out my trusty D'allara drop point and commence to hacking away at them like I have done hundreds of times. Only this time the little booger slipped out of my hand and where does it go, blade first into my right shin. Now I'm not talking just the point, no the whole edge of the blade made contact with my leg.

I was left with a nice 3 1/4 inch long laceration about 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep. NASTY!! The good doctor sewed me up with 11 shiny stitches. And to top it all off I have to miss three days of work to let it start to heal.

Thanks for listening to my sob story and please be careful folks.
