Ya know I realize today that "buyer beware" only scratches the surface, but in the past year I have seen the number of crappy knives and swords labled as "custom" or "antique" when they are just trash really. I used to be able to search for antique katana or nihonto and find REAL antiques - but now there's some company in China making garbage and labeliing it as anitque or custom and clogging up the searches. I wish there was something that could be done as I am now seeing this trend carry over to knives. EBay needs stronger restrictions on what the merchandise is labeled as and actually is--but I've said my peace and thanks for listening. Oh and as for the fraudulent bag of puss on Ebay, his karma will find him.

That is not a similar knife. The picture was lifted directly from larry's site. That makes it a dead give away. The man doesn't even have the knife in hand to take pics of it.

Is there any chance the "maker" made a few of these that are near identical?

The seller has a perfect feedback rating...I don't get it. He just became a criminal? Or someone else is using his ID?

Well just yesterday I paid for an auction I won from the seller. I should receive the knife by Wednesday or Thursday. I will let you all know how the knife is that I receive.

HE endded the auction early and sold the air for 510.00 i hope the guy didn't paypal him

I just got this letter after sending a note to the knife seller on e-bay it's kind of strange to say the least.
"Sir,
This is driving me absolutely crazy. I'm just a month out of the hospital, my home robbed. All my knives taken, computer, money, wife's jewelry. Now all these e-mails and stuff about knives, empty boxes, false auctions. Darrel Ralph knows me and about me and my family. I bought several of Darrel's knives, now I hear that they are being sold on ebay, using my wife's account. Darrel is watching ebay also.
My old computer is being used, so the police have told me. They're monitoring it. HA! What are they doing? Watching my reputation, savings and checking account; vanish? Where the hell are the laws?
Sorry for venting, My friends are calling me to ask what the hell is going on. This is only the third e-mail that I got. The above e-mail address is the only one that I use.
God help me, but I don't know what to do anymore.
Thank you for the only positive e-mail that I received.
Sincerely, Alex"

Why would you do this after having such a good reputation?

This is why they call it "Epray"

Send your money and pray you get what you thought you bought. :grumpy:
