ebay knifes

I buy off the bay cause I can get project knives and knife making supplies, as well as any other random junk I happen to want, all in one stop.

Every now and then you find real treasures. It's a lot like an online garage sale - lots of people with lots of junk for sale, but there's also some pretty cool toys mixed in.

For example, I like to buy old bread knives and attack them with a grinder, turning them into various blade shapes so I can see how they look before using a piece of nice steel to make one. That way you're only out $6, and the knife already has a handle.

I got a Victorinox Compact for $3 shipped, and a Vic Rambler for $2 shipped. In my pockets now. If I had known about Mora and SAKs, I could have saved a TON of money over the years.

I use to sell on eby. I still have my seller account. my rateing is 0. I have not sold on ebay for years. from my understanding they rate you by the year and since I have not sold there my rating with south. I hve found a bunch of knife auction sites. some are good some are not worth a damm too. I look at these othere site and then ebay and I wonder with all of ebay fees why sell there at all.

Please do not use general for these types of threads. The simple rules really are not that hard to follow.

I have bought many knives off ebay with no issues...until the past month. I bought 2 different knives from 2 different people that were bad fakes. Shame on me for not researching further, but their pricing was not that much lower than the other sellers. Both times the knives were returned and refunds were issued, but I have definitely learned a lesson.
