First let me say that there are too many good sellers out there to have to hit a bump in the road with one. I have always thought the key to good business is customer service and good communication. I have purchased over 200 items from Ebay and for the most part have had very good service.

So, 12 days ago I bought a camping coffee pot from legacyoutdoorsandsurvival. The listing noted that the item would be shipped quickly and it is inside the US. I am going on a camping trip tomorrow and figured that 12 days would be enough time to get this for the trip. Guess I was mistaken.

I never received any type of shipping notification from the seller and I have sent 3 emails to date that none have been responded to. I am not really concerned that I have been ripped off but as it stands, I will have to go to REI today if it has not arrived in the mail and purchase one.

A little advice that I failed to take on this purchase was to really read feedback. While this seller has high feedback, they also have a huge amount of sales so unless you really look close, you don't see potential problems.

After going back and reading a months worth of feedback on this seller, most of the complaints were slow shipping, poor communication and items paid for that were not in stock and money refunded.

I just thought I would get this off my chest as well as inform others that might want an item in a timely fashion that this might not be the seller to accomplish this with.

Like I said, there are a lot of reputable sellers on Ebay and I will continue to shop there but I do not have the time or money to waste on the ones that don't put the customer first.

It pays to actually read the feedback from buyers. I bought a counterfeit copy of Adobe Photoshop through Ebay. The seller had a high rating and a high number of ratings, but had I bothered to actually read them I would have noticed most were from the same "people" (usually named something like "bark19547" or "2e1r6zzz") and most of those people were buying lipstick. Different situation here, same lesson.
