eBay shops: anyone has dealt with "body-armor"?

I see... so your credit card company acts as a "global order sales customer care" (which can go very far) ; they dont do that here, unfortunately.

Credit card companies claim they investigate disputes, but in reality they can't afford to do much investigation over small amounts of money. In the US the rule is when in doubt go with the buyer, which means sometimes dealers get ripped off and some decide not to accept credit cards any more, but it's also a good reason for buyers to use a credit card to protect themselves from thieves. Seems in France the rule is when in doubt go with the seller and using a credit card doesn't give a buyer any protection.

When I was in retail, every time someone went after a chargeback the credit card company contacted us to and requested we send them a proof of delivery. If we could provide this proof then the chargeback was declined.

Allen: ok with ur analysis... the concept of customer is anyway stronger in the US. Here, customer care is not as developed (this is why when u come to Paris, u may feel that people in shops & restaurants are unpolite & careless).

Coming back to the topic, I'm following the eBay process for reimbursement (they take 28 EUR fees and dont refund the freight costs... hmmm). I also try to link with some people from eBay corporate through friends to see how I can annoy this seller.

Hmmm... in a way, I got a reply from this Mr John Kim "body-armor" from eBay, he left me a negative feedback because I paid and he kept the money and did not sell the stuff... he seems to do that regularly -- is there anyone from Owing Mills in this forum? I feel like some retaliation pulsions coming up =)
