Ed Fowler in for shoulder surgery

Ed, About 18 years ago I underwent major shoulder surgery to repair the ravages of bursitus. I was in agony for a long period of time due to a misdiagnosis (You have arthritis and will have to live with it!) The surgery was one of the best things that could have happened to me as I have been trouble and pain free ever since with no loss of strength or motion. I wish you the same results. Just do not "push" it for a while! ---Sandy---

Best wishes for a safe and effective procedure followed by a (hopefully!) short and complete recovery. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you Ed!

My Prayers are with you, Ed. and for your nurses too. :D :D :D
Sweany came through for us again, heh heh heh! Ed, get well soon, or we are gonna pester ya! Really, I hope it goes great for you, and heal real quick! Heck, we miss ya already!

My Old Dad's Country folks too.

He threatend to take the syringe away from one nurse and do it himself. She couldn't hit the vein.
She left the room and another nurse came in. This one was a little older, wiser, and didn't take no Crap. Dad liked her right away. :D

Heck Ed's probably done as much Dr.'ing as the Vet, er Dr. that will be working on Ed's shoulder.

Thanks Butch, for keeping us informed. Best wishes to Ed for a successful operation. We're all with you in spirit.

Sweany, you can't imagine all the different ways that Ed thought about how he could fix his shoulder himself. I can understand the way he feels though cause I pretty much won't go to a doc unless I think it may be life threatening. :D My wife is a massage therapist as well as an RN and she's been working on him for months to try and keep him mobile. He kept telling her that she could fix it for him :D We finally just told him that he was going for surgery to get it fixed even if we had to hogtie him and drag him to the Dr.(we figured shootin him this early was still outta the question) It is a torn rotator cuff which will never heal on its own. He saw his surgeon yesterday and he is optimistic that he can put him back together with good results.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and we'll keep you posted on his progress.

Butch

Good luck Ed, with a little work and tender loving care you'll be swinging a hammer in no time.

Ed, I thought your therapist was really helping you there for a while, but I guess it's time to finally get it taken care of. I wish you a complete and speedy recovery.

Good Luck Bruce!
One time many years ago I experienced a major run of frostbite. Hands, feet, ears, face. After getting warmed up, I was getting a little concerned. It hurt! Called the Doc. He said "just relax and enjoy it, it won't last forever
