These are what I consider classic Ed Fowler knives. Each was made from Old recycled ballbearing 52100, most likely early-mid 1990s. No modified grind, or recurve. Thickish proportions. I think they are beautiful examples of the "pronghorn" style Ed is famous for.

Nice photos, David. They do exhibit Mr. Fowler's signature style for sure. That is a real prize little collection for a fan of that style. I know you must treasure them, so to speak:thumbup:

Those definitely have the classic look of Ed's style.

Seeing his variety of knives and handling them at Blade gave me an appreciation for them. Each has a specific function and feel good in hand.

Always wanted to get one of his knives. That's a nice set of his knives you have there!

Thank you guys. I'll post a few more photos- these have been shown before but may be a better image now.
Here's a few Camp blades:

This one is what my friend Jose calls the Fowler "Bolo". It was the first real Fowler knife I bought, back in 1998 (Blade Show) close as I can remember. From dealer Cleston Sinyard. He said that Ed had originally made it for a Frenchman to use in a contest.

This was the first group photo I took of the collection. Added several knives. I had a Marbles display that arranged knives on a board, grouped small to large. The idea works here too:

Two big knives, Ed has made a very few really large Camp knives. The sheath on it takes about a cow. ;). I like the way this photo turned out, especially:

Another group shot, though it's been posted here before. I like the arrangement.. Otherwise lighting isn't good.

Thanks for the comments and kind responses.

Very, very nice. The proportions on the one at left in the OP are especially pleasing to my eye. Congratulations.

I always thought his older work was nicer. I prefer the non-recurve blades. I need to find me one of them.

applies to each and every one of those blades. Very impressive, fine collection. Thanks for sharing the pics,

Pete
