EDC folder for 100$ ?

Spyderco Salsa Titanium, it's a compression framelock and had one for EDC last couple of years ... very good knife, thin easy to sharpen blade. Costs a tad under $100.
Another option would be a used Buck Mayo 172 (TNT). A mint or NIB one would be at least $150. It's a great knife. The factory edge was not great on mine, but after sharpening it's amazingly sharp. S30V steel is top notch.
Both knives ride nicely in the front pocket and are very well made.

In all fairness, I believe you will be hard pressed to do better than the new Endura (Endura 4) in your price range and, it will only cost you about 1/2 of top figure. The new Endura represents an evolution of the mainstay of Spyderco's line and, offers perhaps the best overall set of compromises on an all purpose EDC knife.

But, of course, there are many others and, many are mentioned in this thread. If you are looking for a change, then also consider something in the Benchmade line like the Griptilian. I don't particularly like the Mini-Grip due to it's small size but, the standard Grip offers a modern mainstream folder that is easy to handle and operate. It's a knife that beckons to be put to use and, doesn't seem to be out of it's league on any type everyday cutting chore.
