edc for around $20

The Kershaw Skyline deploys very fast for me. Man, this site it going to get me killed. I went to link to look at the Kershaw and ended up buying two other Kershaw knives!

I really like Kershaw blades in general. I have one of the Doziers too, the large one, in my hunting gear. I like it a lot, but the Kershaws are better, IMO.

The Gerber LST sells for about $20, strong, light, easy on the pocket, holds a good edge and the new version is one hand opener.

I just purchased a Kershaw Skyline this evening at my local Walmart for $25 on clearance. Seems to be a very nice knife as one would expect from Kershaw!!

Not quick opening yet really good, and not aggressive looking if you care about that:
- any Opinel
- an alox Victorinox Pioneer or Soldier
- classic looking Rough Rider models are often much better than they should at the price

If you spend a few $ more: Spyderco Persistence or Tenacious, or Byrd G10 models like Cara Cara

I have all the above. The one most in my pocket is my alox Victorinox old-style Soldier (now called Pioneer); remarkably useful.

The Kershaw Chill is a great $20 dollar edc. Light, thin profile, G-10, handles, and has a full 3 1/4" blade. I've found 8Cr13MoV steel to be a decent performer comparable to 440C/AUS-8.

Hey, I understand that some people dislike the origin of the product. But, we live in a global economy, and for under $20 it is hard to beat the quality you get in an SRM710, setting politics aside.

I'm sorry that maybe you misunderstood my ironics. I really like the srm 710, but I'm a little bit afraid of praising it too much, see my previous posts on the subject. I also don't want to get the "buy American crowd" pissed off when someone mentions a good value chinese folder. I assume we both appreciate the srm710.

Regards,

Kees

I also think you should save for a leek or delica. But, there are still good options around $20.

Kershaw storm 2, I don't want to deal spot but I bought one at a major sport retailor for $20.

Spyderco Tenacios can be bought for about $32.

Buck has some folders I know that are made in the US, use 420Hc steel-pretty decent stuff imo, and have thumb studs for one hand opening.

Besides that I'm stumped. You can find alot of chinese/pakistan made knives at around your price.

Kershaw Half-Ton , $10-15 shipped on ebay ... Solid lock up, 8cr13mov blade, excellent quality!
