EDC - how to keep Sebenza blad clean

A quick up date: I mentioned last time I was applying olive oil on the blade to try to keep glue residue from tape on the blade.

It works very well. At first, I was disappointed that glue from tapes still stick to the blade when i cut open boxes. But with just a quick rub of the fingers the tape residue came off just like that. The residue on the blade is now more like the type of glue they use to stick creditcard the letter they send you; very easy to get rid off.

I also notice that the cutting is also smoother too.

Imo, whatever you use to clean the blade, always wipe it down with some sort of lubicant, don't just leave the blade with just alchol pad like I did before.

I have been using Frog Lube for about a year on several knives and a couple of revolvers. It cleans well, is totally non-toxic and seems to be fair on corrosion resistance. If you can get a small amount and try it I think you might like it.

To the OP -- If you can't find it in small quantities but would still like to try it, I have some small containers and I would be happy to send you one. When I purchased mine I had to purchase a fairly large quantity and I think I may have a lifetime supply!

Let me know!

Thank you for the information and generous offer. I really appreciate it.

I did a search and found some Froglube in 4oz size and picked some up.

Thanks again,

Sonny
