EDC II Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Thats easy! Half way through cutting the object I stop and grab the other knife

Yes its a Laconico. It's D2 and 3 5/16" blade length. I did not get multiple scales.

Looks like one of Ray's knives? what are the specs on that? and did u get multiple handle scales?

that's not a deba, its a 6.75" santoku knife made buy kobayashi (dojo series). it's a hitachi blue steel core clad in stainless. the knife is very thin and light, i have the edge around 15-18 degrees per side and it cuts like a laser beam.

the yanagiba is 270mm (i forget who the maker is). the yanagiba originally came with a kuro (black) finish, i hand polished the whole blade. the blade is hitachi blue steel clad with iron.

My latest purchase... just got it up to hair-whittling sharp on my sharpmaker.
I was actually a little disappointed with the factory sharpness... it wouldn't even shave, still very sharp, but definitely much better now!

Also tried out an app called Camera+ ... works way better than the default, eventually I'll get a real camera.
Where's Mika to recommend me one?

Hehehe, it is an awesome knife. And since you're steel130, I know you're a steelhead. The SB(excellent steel in itself) in that platform...

Ah man...great times when we have a difficult time deciding which knife to carry.

I'm on a construction site for most of the day, and sometimes I can't wash or keep a knife clean and I don't want to get rust on the SB, so unfortunately stainless is it for me most of time. Luckily, there's the blue para which comes in M390.
