I'm so happy right now. I went through the 3.5 drop point phase of the Hogue EX-01 series and quickly learned that the fore balance tendency was lessened quite a bit with the 4" so I purchased a 4" Black G-Mascus drop point drop point. That was a super fine knife and one of the smoothest folders I had ever owned. I reluctantly traded it away for a harder to come by knife and regretted that decision the very next day. That was a while back now.
Fast forward to today where I just received another 4" Hogue EX-01 in Black G-Mascus but I dove right into a Tanto blade on a whim because I learned I like having one or two in my roataion and consider the Tanto blade profile a useful EDC blade that isn't as pigeon holed as others like to make it.
Now I feel complete again because I really believe the 4" G-Mascus Hogues are two short clicks away from being
one the best <$175 production folders available today. If they made some effort to address the minor but real fore balance matter and perhaps oriented the clip to tip up from the factory (no big deal of course since it's moveable yourself), this 4" G-Mascus folder would be right up there with only a handful of competitors in it's class without harping on blade steels, etc.
Here she is. I got her this morning and she is on me now!

This knife is almost as smooth as my VECP, has the typical top of the heap F&F from Hogue, that mostly polished, thin ground edge from the factory and she locks up with the very best of them. Sweet
