Just picked up a Spyderco Native5 and a Kershaw OD-1, so I'm carrying them both around for a bit just to get the feel of 'em. They're both brand new out of their boxes and have perfect actions and lockups, and actually both have pretty nice factory edges.

The OD-1 has that really fun asymmetrical flipper mechanic that makes it REALLY fun to play with, and it's a nice, slim, easy-carry kind of a thing, a good casual EDC, but the Native just feels so wonderful in the hand that I almost can't bear to take it out. Every time I do I have the desperate desire to find some work to do with it! I pull it out to cut open a box or trim a thread and I can hardly make myself put it away again without finding a stick to whittle and a game hen to dress.
