EDC II Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Thanks guys! That is an A.G Russell 3 inch lockback in carbon fiber. It is made in japan and has an extremely nice VG-10 blade. I think one of the best things about the knife is that it costs a mere 48 dollars. You can also get the handles in regular Titanium, chinese quince or pearl. I think I'm going to start a thread about it with some pictures and such pretty soon.

Nice. Can't beat carbon fiber and VG-10 for $48 bucks!

Dang! Very nice grip! Love that color combo. Customized?

No it's not custom. It's a limited build specifically for REI. I don't really know much more than that (quantity if really limited and to what number). It's a mini griptilian 556 SBK with crimson grip, S30V blade, black hardware and split arrow clip.

These two today. This week the Delica gets a real edge on my Edge Pro. I'm also playing around with the 710 before the custom vintage micarta scales arrive. This is my first experience with BMs D2 steel. The original grind on the 710 was very good so it only took a minor touch-up and it has been cutting up all kinds of things this weekend and still shaves.

Two of my knives - Vic Mauser Officers Knife and RR scout knife - got a pretty good workout yesterday evening as I was tidying up and extending an old walking cane. Not sure what the original wood is, but it's very hard. The end was badly worn and split (and embedded with nails). I trimmed it down and re-flattened it. I found a branch of sycamore in the garden, pretty soft wood, but it was on hand and I thought it'd absorb a bit of shock and be easily replaced if neccesary. I cut a piece of the sycamore and whittled it down, ended up with a nice round plug about two inches long. I've then fitted a brass ferrule to lengthen the cane with the sycamore as the new end. Also carved another walking cane with the punch of the scout knife.

I've been carrying my 581 Barrage for the last week and a half as it's the first knife I've sharpened with my recently acquired Edge Pro. I think it turned out alright; the edge pro is an easy sharpening system for sure.

Not the best pics (cell phone...:foot:):
