Is all that wear and "Ti patina" just from carry? This model has the new pivot and everything else so it can't be that old. I've been carrying my older style pivot Wilson Tactical Umnumzaan 90 percent of the time for the past 3 months and it still looks pretty clean. I definitely don't have any of that Ti patina thing going on. Admittedly, I don't use knives that hard and really not even every single day, but I carry it a lot and it won't look like yours! So since yours is new, I'm wondering if you've really worn it that much in such a short time or if you made it look that way somehow.

Carry it in the same pocket you carry your keys and spare change, it'll look like that in about a week.

That's just artificially enhanced patina though...

;):)

On topic; my 581 Barrage again today. I'm thinking it'll be an awesome long term edc knife.

Bingo! It shares a pocket with my keys. You can see the majority of the wear is at the end where the keys rest.
Here's a shot of the other side.

Thanks sir! There was nothing wrong with the factory edge but I figured why not try out the EP on a knife I already loved to carry. The 581 lasers through just about everything I put in front of it now.

Your MPR edge looks pretty wicked too. :D:thumbup:

Thanks buddy!. I can't stand carrying a knife with a factory edge even if it is done well. I guess that's kind of snobby of me huh? oh well:)

Nah, not at all... After applying the edge pro finesse to the 581, edge quality is greatly improved and it definitely cuts better. The EP is an easy system to use, but is time consuming especially with M390 steel. I'm working on a TGLB right now and it's taking forever to get the bevels where I want them. I'll put up pics when she's done.
