From a long-time lurker turned legit: today's is an old Old Timer 108OT from the mid-70's.

That´s a beauty, Sir! I really like the two blade version of an OT! :)

Danke Schön! (sorry, all the German I learned is long vergessen) It started out as a three-blade model, but somewhere along the way someone asked too much of the third blade and snapped it in half. I finished the break down to the grind, which keeps it from biting me when I pocket it. It was my wife's grandfather's and still has lots of life left.

Wore this today for a visit to my mother in her Assisted Living facility. Wanted to show her a non-threatening example of my knife collecting. William Henry wave damascus, Ti frame and bolster, and very old Mammoth bone scales.

Thank you Pete, I bought this one new with my allowance and money I earned from mowing lawns.

Paul

Money well spent, looks like a 1970?, what is the # & size? I had to look at those scales again today, I wish Case would do that shade of red again.
Thanks,
Pete

I used my Pioneer Harvester to pry out (hooking the cap lifter under the staple)and hammer in staples today...I shouldn't be doing things like that, but I am beginning to change my philosophies again; a knife is a tool and should be used for what you need it for within reason...

I also used the same tool to pry parts of another SAK apart, I am getting frustrated that I cannot find pin stock that can get to me before Christmas or be gotten for a reasonable price. I find it and it's like 'hey, you want it before Christmas and in the sizes you want? Sure, if you want to pay $10 for shipping and we'll get it to you a day before you need it at best.', but I digress...

Like you I wanted something non-threatening today. I also choose a William Henry wave damascus blade - - a B10 Cameroon. Have to admit I kind of like the clip case for a change.
