Well Mr. Steel130 inspired me to do some heat coloring. I did my Manix 2 pocket clip and really like the results but that's not what I'm carrying today. I did my Chokwe's lock side, too. It turned out a kind of bronze/brown. I like it!
It used to be the same color as the pocket clip.

That looks great bro! I accidentally chipped my M390 edge today. It jumped through a cut and hit some metal. So I am gonna take it to the stones tonight
.
Nooooo! That's terrible newsHow much did it chip? not a lot I hope. Lemme know how it turns out when you're done!
Not to badly. But it is the worst chip I have had lol. It is about as thick as a piece of paper deep. Your edge is great still, I was just uncoordinated today! Seelow, what angles do you like your EDC's at?

Welcome to the forums!Spyderco Dragonfly II
Dang! I spent about 10 minutes on my Moldmaster 400 grit stone and that pretty much took it out, you can see the slightest little bit still, but a few more sharpenings and it should be gone. Benefit of the thin edge I suppose. Then about another half an hour to go to full polish. I will take a good picture tomorrow.Yeah that's a doozy! I think that's gonna take awhile to sharpen out. I'm glad you enjoy the edge none-the-less, even if it is deformed:thumbup: I prefer my EDC folders to be around 15 DPS or lower. I really just love how well they cut. I haven't been able to take very many of my newer knives down that low in awhile though because my 120 grit stone is shot. I need to get some Moldmasters to mount on the EP blanks.
Here's a big chip/roll/crater i put in my Millie when I carelessly cut through a lawnmower tire

That took about three hours to sharpen out.

Thanks bro, yah I just used a mini clamp I have and put it against a sharpmaker flat. Those moldmasters cut well, if they fit an Edge Pro blank I recommend it. To be honest I was a tad worried ( first repair jobDamn! It's gone! I can't believe how fast it removed it. Mad props to you bro:thumbup: Did you do it freehand or mount the stones on the sharpmaker?
It might be a while before you will need to sharpen M390.
