This was what I carried until I lost it. :( EDIT: Found it in the couch cushions.

Well Mr. Steel130 inspired me to do some heat coloring. I did my Manix 2 pocket clip and really like the results but that's not what I'm carrying today. I did my Chokwe's lock side, too. It turned out a kind of bronze/brown. I like it!

It used to be the same color as the pocket clip.

I really like that, would you say you could repeat that, or is that just kind of what happened? How did you do it? I bought a backup Chokwe, and that looks really nice...

Yeah you can repeat it. That color is just on the outside. If you take some sandpaper to it, it will reveal regular shiny Ti. How it did it is a funny/embarrassing story but I'll spare you from having to read it. Let's just say my lighter I was using caught on fire :D. You just need an open flame. It's best to have a large flame so it heats the area more evenly. I used Everclear;) The first color you will get is the bronze color but yours will be darker than mine because the sandblasting had been sanded off of mine prior to coloring. you can see some areas (Like around the pivot and the tip of the lockbar) that didn't get as sanded as the other parts.

Sorry for the absolutely dismal quality. Apparently my phone camera is actually getting worse. Anyway, Kershaw JYD (got it in the mail this morning and it is absolutely great considering the price and as my first flipper knife I'm having way too much fun with it) and Moore Maker trapper.

Traveling (very) light today. This tiny scalpel-like Moki is incredibly well made and surprisingly handy.
