Going light today. Para 2 and a Vic. Executive that is apparently angry with me. It cut me right after these pics when I went to close it.

The Junior today. It is hard to not carry the Southard, but these three are all newer, so I have to give them some love too.

How do you like the Junior so far? I really want to try one; the handle shape fascinates me and that wide blade looks amazing. Tons of edge!

spyderco tenacious with G-10 handle and matte finish. Great knife so far,im just now getting into better quality knives but it has held a great edge for this month of work

These two today. I started off carrying the Piston but switched to the UKPK when it showed up in the mail a short while ago!

I really like it, glad I picked it up. It doesn't blow me away or anything, but a solid knife, and a great edc. It does pack a lot of cutting edge, no other Spyderco can touch it in that handle size. The handle does not feel as funky as it looks, it feels right. It is a little pricey for a VG-10 G10 knife, but not too bad. That Zulu on the other hand does blow me away. I picked that one up for $90, it is being discontinued. Crazy smooth, and it is just amazing looking. Surprisingly good ergos too. The Zulu is however not a great edc imo as it will be tricky to sharpen, but when I want a little something special, it fits the bill.

Thank you so much for the detailed info. I agree that the price seems a little high for VG-10 but I suppose the less-established and more daring designs have to come with a premium in order to get them out the door. Since the Chokwe is discontinued, I'll have to grab that one first. I've got a bit of time to snag a Junior. Sadly, two other designs that I've been eager to try are also being discontinued: the Jason Breeden Rescue and the Leaf Storm. Kills me 'cause I don't think I'm gonna have time to get enough funds together before these all disappear off the shelves. I think the Chokwe and Breeden Rescue have to happen no matter what, though.

Unfortunately, my new Case Wharncliffe Copperhead had a BIG workout today . . . it went through a 50 minute cycle in my washing machine!

When I pulled the first handful of clothes out to put in the dryer, the knife fell to the bottom of the tub with a "clang!" Other than the joints being stiff and a slight mildew smell, no problems. The bone dyes did not run or lighten, and after a good lube it was good as new.
