Great

The 5.11 knife came 'free' with a purchase of a Rush 12 pack last week.
I expected to receive a knife that I'd wind up selling on Dweebay.
However... after I received it, I quickly realized it was a pleasant surprise.
While it's only a stainless 420J2 blade, it's surprisingly VERY sharp, has great grip ergonomics, scales are fiberglass/nylon with
a great tactile diamond pattern, nice strong clip, thumb studs placed perfectly, opens smooth as butter, stainless liners, great
liner lock, with bronze phosphor washers, a top concave/scalloped spine design which allows me to put my thumb on it and bear down
cutting into something and it's very light.
Will make a great beater in rotation.

How do you like the Rush 12?

Honestly... I'm a hardcore devotee to Camelbak H.A.W.G.'s.... but only mil spec models no longer produced from 8 to 10 years ago in 1000 denier.
I have one in black and one in the 2003 Tri color DCU, they are not too big, not too small.. just perfect for my urban city usage/needs and they are ergonomically curved to the back.
Not easy to find, unless on Dweebay (new old stock).

However, I recently got into Crye Precision® Multicam (I never thought I would), I bought a new pair of Crye P. fire retardant mil spec combat pants on Dweebay.
I then decided to get a pack in Multi cam, did my research and bought a Rush 12 (in real Crye P.®) for $111.00 no tax, free shipping which came with a "free" knife and a "free" cap.
Built like a tank, made of 1050D, just minimally larger than my H.A.W.G.'s.
Superb multi storage space/s well laid out, the 'contoured yoke shoulder strap' system is great.
To answer your question.... the pack is great, better than expected!

I have wanted a discontinued BM 'Rant' 10502 drop point for awhile, but didn't want to pay too much for one considering they were very inexpensive when first released.
Found someone selling a few on Dweebay last week at a reasonable price.
They were made in D2 and 440C, with a beautiful stonewashed finish that's similar to my Ritter Mini Grip.
4.45 inch blade, partial flat grind, 440C hardened to HRC 58-60
Some came with a well made nylon molle compatible sheath and some came with a surprisingly very well made black leather sheath.
For me it's perfect, better than expected... the size, it's light, the handle feels great made of very grippy Black Santoprene.
Super sharp.
They originally came in several different blade styles.
I have a black tanto serrated version but have always wanted the stone washed drop point which I like much better.

Leatherman Juice S2
Kissing Crane Blue Sodbuster

^^^ My standard EDC for work. The sodbuster is great for opening boxes and envelopes and the bold blue scales and single traditional blade make it non-scary to those who see it. The Juice S2 is just plain useful, period.
