Pocket dump today and one of my first few posts on the forum. I have really enjoyed seeing some of the great stuff on this site. Great people, advice, info, and pics!

Opined classic carbon No 8, Leatherman Squirt, Fenix LD01, Zebra pen, homemade tyvek wallet. Pretty basic. Hoping for a Christmas upgrade a Spyderco Delica4, although I've got a crazy edge on the Opinel. Want a one hand opener.

Wow! That's the patina? At first I thought it was a DLC coating! How did you go about getting such a patina?

Well, I tried many different medias, most of them only caused a little discoloration, which was not what I was going for. Then I tried rice vinegar, and that did the trick. Leaving the blade submerged in it barely did anything, so I put one layer of paper towels on each side of the blade and just moisted that with the rice vinegar. Every time it dried out, I repeated the process. Took several days
