what technique do you use for shaving the skin off for the teeth? I have a pumpkin carving party and I'd love to get something that doesn't look like a three year old did it.

a motion similar to carving an apple, I start by drawing the eyes, mouth, and lines for the teeth, I then cut about a half inch deep along the lines, make two intersecting cuts for the spaces between the teeth, take the skin off, and radius them. I find a case pen knife to be about as good as it gets for carving pumpkins, good excuse to get a new knife too if you don't already have one!
