Rip, did yours come with that leather sheathe? Mine came with the standard nylon belt sheathe!

Yeah, mine came with the leather sheath.

Is your 110 the 50th anniversary or the regular one ?

It's the 50th anniversary, same as the one in your picture. That's interesting. I got mine in a clamshell plastic pack at Dick's. That was all they had (except for the regular 110's, which were packaged identically).

I bought mine at a sporting goods store and it came in the yellow Buck box......I guess the ones in the clamshell package don't come with a leather sheath.

I thought only Wal Mart sold the 110 with a nylon sheath.

The 110s that come in the box always have the leather sheath as far as I know.

Well, I may see if I can source that sheath from somewhere. I'd love to have it for something like this. My other 110 (my first, actually) is the 2013 Boone and Crocket special edition. It came in a tin, also in a clamshell, and also has a nylon sheath.

Of course, I admit it, these are more "have just to have" knives for me. There isn't much call for a belt knife in my daily office-zombie lifestyle. I DO love having these, however. Just something that speaks of tremendous history and that weight makes it a real workhorse. Here are mine:

P.S. Yes, I hit the bolsters with some Brasso before the shot. :D

Today, this:

How do you like it? It is real G10 right, not "faux"? I have always liked that knife mainly because of the design of the grips (assuming real G10) and because it's just begging for a wave. I wish the flipper models would come with that exact handle profile/machining.

How does their 8Cr fair vs. others (mainly Spyderco's and Kershaw's)

Been oogling everyone's beautifull knives for some time now ... supposed it's time I joined and posted something too :)

Buck Nobleman Carbon and Spyderco Resilience.

Really like both! I carry the Nobleman everyday but the Resilience I mostly use as a food prep/kitchen knife on the go as u will.

I actually gifted my dad a Nobleman TI and he's equally happy with his.
