What is that knife?
It's Sean Kendrick's cheaper line with Hallmark Cutlery, called Bad Blood. This is the "Harbinger" model. They have two other models, eventually I'll get them too, because they are just outstanding for the money... This was $26 bucks in a web-site that I will probably neve buy again from, because they charged like $15 for shipping and I received the knife in like 10 days or so but it really doesn't matter...

How do you like it? It is real G10 right, not "faux"? I have always liked that knife mainly because of the design of the grips (assuming real G10) and because it's just begging for a wave. I wish the flipper models would come with that exact handle profile/machining.

How does their 8Cr fair vs. others (mainly Spyderco's and Kershaw's)
It is real G10, I believe, I can take some better pictures later... How do I like it... It is a big and heavy knife but I like it because my fingers are really tired and I cannot feel light knife, my fine motor skills are not that great with something that isn't heavy in my hand... It was scary sharp right out of the box, I like very much the geometry of the blade, it's built solid but I did not push it too much... yet.
The satin finish of the blade will, I assume, get scratched if used more seriously than opening letters and cutting cardboard boxes and zip-ties but than I'll probably polish it...
I like the knife a lot, for me it is a good size, little bit on the heavier site but there is no perfect scenario, isn't it...
Chinese steel is Chinese steel... I didn't touch the edge so far, it holds fine, but again - I didn't push it too hard... I have some other Chinese knifes (this-one is build in China) and it depends very much of the manufacturer, but in general - it is OK steel , easy to sharpen and holds OK, for $30 knife I think is fine...
My Spydercos and Kershaw are all with S30V or the Sandvik steel and honestly I don't have some serious comparisons on the steels...
----------------------------------
Forgot to say: I did pick this particular model not only because of the shape of the blade but also because just as you said - it's good to be modified for wave, and because it isn't flipper... I personally don't like flippers much...

Even I knew that, and I'm the town/forum idiot.

So, it turns out I am a bit of a nutter today.

ZT 0350 AKIMBO!!!

I was able to get the non-serrated shipped to a locker two blocks away from my office, so now I have both of them in my pockets. Love this knife and since I have these two, a 0300 series is next. Maybe a ZT Hinderer somewhere down the line as well.

Brought this in to show coworker/fellow knife nut. The second pic is a spine shot comparison with a LionSteel SR1A which is a full 5MM thick.
