Hi, a user asked me to post a pic on this forum and im using tapatalk. It says "Your forum admin has turned off Tapatalk photo sharing." Can you turn it on? Thanks
You need to upload an image to an image sharing website (photobucket, imgur) and link to it here.
I just ordered a resilience.! Post a pic man!
No, not at all... This is he's second RAT1, he manage to kill the first-one for about 8 months, I gave him the second for Christmas, I already cleaned and sharpened it once about a month ago, this is second time already, he does AC and he's pushing this little Rat really hard...
No side play on the blade at all, perfectly centered and smooth as a mofo...
It's all mine today...![]()

Looks awesome!Did you have any problems getting the blade aligned during reassembly?
I took my Rat 1 apart to clean and still can't get it straight. :\ It doesn't rub, but it's annoying.
I also had the issue, but I figured out what it is. The washers just barely fit over the pivot bushing, and that click you heard was it popping into place. The washer sometimes gets off center and squished. The way I reassemble it is to build one side at a time and built it by layer. That way there, you know that the washers and pivot are flush.I had the same problem. After about the 400th time of re-assembly something made a "click" noise and everything was straight and good. Don't really know what it was that got it to go but I will not be taking it apart again.
I love the size of the knife and the way it's build. I'm not that crazy about the geometry of the blade only because I like to carry a blade designed as a weapon and after stabbing some various materials I found that the tip of the knife does not penetrate the way I like it. Regardless my personal preferences, this is one outstanding general purpose knife.Very cool. I did some testing with my Rat II yesterday and took it from hair popping sharp and sliced and diced 3 large cardboard boxes into shreds purposely trying to dull the knife to where it wouldn't cut paper. Surprisingly, after all that mess, it was still fairly sharp so I started whittling an old broom stick I had in the trash to dull the edge.
Eventually it was unusable, so I wanted to see what it took to bring it back from butter knife status. After about 25 swipes on the sharpmaker coarse stones, and 25 on the fine stones, it was razor sharp again and able to shave arm hair with 1 swipe. I love this little blade, and the AUS8 really surprises me.
