Front wheel drive V-6?

Either a transverse 6 or something old and British....

Maybe.

Putting half the engine on the bottom, facing the firewall, was a dumb move.

It's not mine thankfully, owning a few Mazda's in my younger days and a mini-van now fixed that, its doubtful I'll ever own another V6 again. This is a Chrysler cirrus, idk who makes the actual engine but all the electronics are Mitsubishi. I was replacing the Disty/cap&rotor, valve cover and plenum gaskets, plugs and wires and an oil change for my wife's boss.

Eta: didn't notice this in person but looking at the pic now, what a shitty engine design, 24 valve but only single overhead cam with 9 lobes each and crazy Y roller rockers on the exhaust side... I always knew DCM's 2.5 V6 was a POS but there's just another reason why.

Here's another pic

Right now I'm carrying my 0550. I might switch to something else in the afternoon since I'll have to change into more formal clothes.

It is a really bad design. Especially those wacky rockers.

96 Cirrus LXI... worst car ever.

.
Thanks Paul, I love it, but I am also going to be on the lookout for the 14210. It's a bit smaller and little more pocket friendly.

I had the 14210 and sold it also...oh how we regret certain decisions...

This for me today.

Funny story, last wrenchin job I had I had just finished up a total rebuild on a 2.5V6 in the owners daughters Chrysler something, he had me drive it home that night to test it out, I honestly wasn't hard on it or anything. It did fine going home, warmed it up the next morning fine, drove it in to work, almost fine, it lost oil pressure coming up to the off ramp 2 blocks from work and started knocking. My next task, clean it out, cut the converters off, drain the gas, fill the tank with water and soak the interior (for the extra weight) and tow it down to the scrap yard. That cheap bastard.

The only good thing-I got half the cash, we got paid a strange way, not flat rate- we got normal hourly pay plus a % of our final labor bill for the week, I didn't get that % for the 2 days I had in his car so atleast he let me keep part of the scrap cash. Still tho a total rebuild on a full paying customers car would of resulted in a ~$700 check so it didn't quite make it up for the week. Again that cheap bastard
