EDC III Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

LOL Grown, you always take the best pictures. Also, it reminded me that I need to get a second Utilitac, since I gave my best friend mine after he held it, and I could see how much he liked it. So, my rounded handle tanto model has a new home, and I just ordered a satin drop point/coffin handled model to replace it. Of course, I'll most likely also get another tanto model because that really was an excellent knife.

What's up, brother? I applaud you for spreading the knife love  I actually gave my Buck Vantage to a buddy over the weekend who lost his no-name Chinese rescue knife. It was probably a Tac-Force or something. He really liked the flipping action and couldn't thank me enough. You're a better man than I am; there's no way I'd give my Utilitac away! It cuts cheeseburgers like nobody's business :D

Which Benchmade is that, Erik? The handle looks familiar but something about that thumbstud is throwing me off. Either way, nice pic!

22 Magnum, just in.

That "first one" monster is awesome!!! Love the full Ti look.

Thanks man! Its a 3.75, I wanted to go for the 4" but this was already more than I need. The whole thing is orange peeled, blasted and bronzed including the back spacer. The big reason its a first is the handle. Po let me re-design it a little so I got rid of the finger groove.

Is yours a 3.25? Looks pretty new too, just get it?

Hahahaahahaha believe it or not, I also gave MY Buck Vantage to a friend a few months ago, and have started The Sickness For Steel in him. Well, ok, I didn't give so much as we traded. It was his first knife, and I DID give it to him, but in return he gave me an aged Opus X cigar, so I considered it a decent deal. He's bought multiple knives since and is straight hooked.

I myself just picked up a Kershaw Cryo (not the 2) on a random Wal-Mart run while out at lunch. I was told that Wal-Mart will apparently not be carrying them anymore, and my guy had one Cryo left hidden under the counter. It was marked down to $25, so I snagged it. It's a Chinese knife, but for that price, the slick little design sold me on it. I'll need to get a picture of it shortly in the company of the OTHER knives I'm carrying today!

It's the new BM 531 Pardue, it has the G10 scales instead of the Zytel and it makes a world of difference IMO. Feels like a much better knife.

I missed the changes, and without the groove yours looks fantastic. So very fantastic.
I got it from a dealer in Tennessee 3 weeks ago. I knew he was getting a few from Pohan (knew about this one specifically) and I jumped up and down until he shipped it out. It's a 3.5" cutting edge, orange peel Ti bolster with blue black carbon fiber and it fits my hand perfectly.
I couldn't be more happy with the Bluephin, the dealer, and the communication I've had with Pohan.

"Sickness for Steel" haha! I'm gonna have to use that one if my wife ever gives me attitude for buying another knife! "I got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell! Or to a lesser extent, another knife!"

The Cryos are just great for the price, man. I've owned several. I've sold or traded all but one, and that's the one my wife got me for Father's Day a year or two back. She had a custom G10 scale made for it, so I love it all the more. I've been seriously considering throwing down a few bucks to get one of the BlackWash tanto Cryos that are hitting the streets right now. I love Hinderer's Hellfire blade and will never be able to afford a real one :p

Thanks for the info, brother! It is indeed a great looking piece. I knew I recognized it, but I must agree that the G10 totally takes it to another level. Congrats on that one

This one again. I'm thinking it might be time to start hunting for a non-flipper XM.

I love the DLC blade on yours. I have an 0550 and an 0551, and I can honestly say they are two of my favorite knives, period. Smooth action, solid lockup, great weight for it's size, what's not to love?
