Unfortunately I just found out my large griptilian and 0700 were lost en route to me. Total drag, but I've got a sexy blur to keep me company - c'est la vie

Duuuuuuuuuuude i was in USPS mailing out my custom knife for sheath work...and i come home to this -_- Great timing! Some knives, you can replace by spending more money; some knives, there's no replacing...

LOL the packaging just could have been handled better on the senders part, foam envelope. I'm sure your knife totally won't be lost forever in shipment....:p :p :p

Box-in-a-box'ed mine. thank god (y)

also, i was just browsing amazon and saw the spyderco sage 1 going for 97$. That's an awesome deal, just sharing.

These today. The more I carry the 0770CF the more I like it. And I liked it from the beginning.

Hinderer XM-18 3" slicer, pink frag scale and blue hardware. Lots of other choices, but this one seems to win all the time lately. Looks like bubblegum, cuts like crazy.

Damn that is pretty and I kiiiinda regret not getting one. Also, good to see you around Erik!!! Missed ya, brother!

I am carrying multiple knives today, I'll snap a pic later this afternoon. Busy at the moment, and you gotta set stuff up, ya know? Can't just shoot some nonsense willy-nilly, nah!!!

Thanks Forrest, and I agree... No willy-nilly! :p I always enjoy seeing your splendid taste in knives, lighters, cigars, and spirits.

Man Erik that forest jack is gorgeous! I'm not usually one for traditionals, but the temptation rises everytime I see that one!

Thanks Charr, I wasn't sure I would like this one because it is a tad bit longer than my sweet spot for closed length on my traditionals (4"), but that blue camel bone is BEAUTIFUL and the added length doesn't really bother me.

BTW, your Shirogorov is fantastic. Someday I hope to own one.

I definitely agree on that blue bone. Absolutely stunning! I think if I were going to get a traditional I would probably be in that general size range (I do have a couple trappers in that range and like them, but I don't carry them much, and they were gifts mainly). Might have to stay paying more attention to the offerings of Northwoods in the future ;)

The Shirogorov! I love it! It's the closest to an "only one knife" that I've ever gotten. I still feel the urge to buy new knives, but at a much decreased rate, and I find myself just carrying this one almost every day.

If you ever get the chance, their knives come highly recommended from me ;)
The only tough part is finding the right one for you at the right price in the right steel. Took me a little over a year to find this one, but it was worth it :D

I'm carrying an old knife, and a new knife today. They're busy bonding right now.

"Dude. You got KVT bearings?! DUDE. I GOT KVT BEARINGS TOO!!!!!!"

I think they're going to get along just fine!

Excellent! I'd love to hear your first impressions...

Nice shot! You're making me very hungry though here ;)

Been too long since I had sushi...might have to make a stop by my local sushi bar for dinner ;)

Well, a quick first impression is this:

It does not flip amazingly out of the box. Like, it was almost like the flipper was jammed somehow. The first few attempts, the knife literally would not open unless I put enough effort into the flipper tab to hurt my fingertip. It's just now starting to loosen up a tad to where I can deploy it more easily. That said, when it DOES deploy, it rockets out like one of Kershaw's Speedsafe knives. Super smooth, with a great little "Snick!" sound. The knife itself is good looking, and I'd really love to have this knife in S30V. It juuuuust fits my hand perfectly, and is clearly going to be a great little slacks knife. I will say that it came fairly dull, and is going to need a good session on my Sharpmaker before it's as sharp as I prefer. I am going to give it some pocket time, and if I'm sufficiently pleased with the knife, then I'll be seeking out some aftermarket scales for it, as the standard one are...lacking a bit.

All told, it's a pretty neat little knife for the $32 I paid. Whether I'll recommend it to others remains to be seen.
